MultiLing is an Official Sponsor of DIESELMEDAILLE 2011

MultiLing Germany recently announced that it will be an official Sponsor of DIESELMEDAILLE 2011, Germany’s longest running inventor award. DIESELMEDAILLE was co-founded by Eugen Diesel, son of the engine designer Rudolf Diesel, in 1952. Since that time, DIESEL gold medals have been awarded to approximately 400 inventors, including several Nobel Prize winners such as Herrmann Staudinger, Jan Enders, Ernst Ruska and Manfred Eigen. Among the first to receive the prize was scientist Wernher von Braun. The list of awarded persons also includes the founders of the world-wide software company SAP, Dietmar Hopp, Hasso Plattner and Klaus E. Tschira, as well as German entrepreneurs like Anthon Kathrein (antenna technology) and Walter Sennheiser (audio acoustics).… [Continue reading]



Tekom 2011 Review: Industry Symposium in Germany

Twice a year the German Professional Association for Technical Communication and Information Development (tekom) hosts a symposium. The fall conference in Wiesbaden, Germany in particular has firmly established itself as a meeting place for the entire German translation industry. White Paper: Benefits and Risks of Automation

MultiLing has just released a white paper titled “Efficient Translation through the use of Automation”. Author Jeremy Coombs gives a comprehensive overview on script and macro tools and points out specific advantages and risks of automated workflow processes. Conclusion: “Macros offer a simple, effective automation solution that can save you time and therefore money in your office.
