Remarkable Growth During the Last Two Years

Our headquarters today released the latest MultiLing business figures: We are proud to announce a 28.1 percent increase in sales revenue since 2010.

MultiLing CEO Michael Sneddon pointed out today, that we have seen a consistent increase in the number of translation orders over the past years, , specifically in the areas of patent and IT translations. “In addition, our new subsidiary near Beijing, China, has allowed us to access another major market of growth for our company. Together with our subsidiaries already located in Korea and Japan, we now have a strong presence throughout the Asian market”, said Michael.

Machine Translation in the Patent Industry

Machine Translation is becoming an increasing issue in the worldwide patent industry. In a landmark step towards increased use of worldwide patent information on the internet, the Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), Yoshiyuki Iwai, and the President of the European Patent Office (EPO), Benoît Battistelli, have signed an agreement on 6 February 2012 which will provide users of the patent system with better machine translations of patents from Japanese into English and then into German and French. The agreement significantly enhances the scope and quality of Espacenet, the public patent information service on the EPO website, by adding an automatic translation tool.… [Continue reading]



New Utah Headquarters in Planning

MultiLing translation service provider new headquartersMultiLing headquarters in Provo, Utah, is expanding again. Following our move to expanded headquarters in 2005, we have now finalized an agreement to occupy two floors of the newly-constructed Zions Bank building at 180 N. University Ave., Suite 600, in Provo, Utah, to accommodate the company’s planned growth in 2012 and beyond (see picture).

Currently, we are preparing to move all of our Utah employees to the new headquarter space that has more than 50 percent additional space (and higher usability of the available square footage than its current facility) within the coming three to four months.
