On wednesday the tekom annual conference opened at the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden, Germany. Until Friday, the conference offered a broad range of cutting-edge topics as well as an international trade fair for technical communication and information management. This year’s conference added new features such as the ”Associations World;“ a joint booth where 18 trade associations from Europe and abroad showcase their respective countries. A special highlight took place on Thursday night, when the tekom-Dokupreis is awarded for its excellent instruction and operating manuals.
The conference program offers more than 200 lectures and workshops covering the latest trends and developments regarding the creation and administration of technical communication. Technical communication includes instruction and operating manuals, online help, software manuals, spare part catalogs, data sheets, service portals and training documents.
At the conference, MultiLing is featuring the latest release of its translation memory tool, FORTIS Revolution, which was designed for professional use by translators all over the world. Due to wide market demands for a solid, well-built and affordable translation technology solution, MultiLing decided to build on Fortis’ previous successes to expand its technology developments and distribution efforts.
